Take a stroll through the Riverwalk Linear Park where your dog can join you on-leash down the quaint riverside walk featuring many restaurants and shops. Oakridge Dog Park is another local favorite. This 37-acre park has a play area for dogs, two covered playgrounds if you bring the kids, dog washing areas, two pavilions, a walking path, benches, and plenty of parking.
Beaches: There's nothing better than a sunny beach day in Fort Lauderdale, especially when you can bring your pup along. Check out the Fort Lauderdale Dog Beach just north of Sunrise Boulevard. A $3.50 permit is required per visit, or you can purchase an annual pass for $21.20. The Fort Lauderdale Dog Beach is a large, closed-off area that allows dogs that are on leashes. Dog bags, water, and beach showers are provided, and there is even a city officer who is always on site for assistance and rule enforcement at the beach. A one-weekend permit costs $7 per dog.
Groomers: Pampered Pooch Salon is a full-service groomer that welcomes all breeds. Their mission is to give each dog the full attention they deserve, so they limit the number of dogs they see each day in order to give your pup superstar treatment!
