Marks Community Outreach Organization (MCOO) is a nonprofit 501c (3) organization located in Fort. Lauderdale, Fl. MCOO offers the following counties, Broward, Miami Dade, and West Palm Beach communities a wide variety of service ranging from counseling, mentorship, food drives, clothing drives, back to school drives, soup kitchens, transportation vouchers (as needed), and community clean-up, just to name a few. We also offer services specifically targeting groups of individuals such as New Beginning which is geared toward the family f and Foot soldiers focusing on helping single men and women 18+, just to name a few.
We kicked off 2017 with Building Young Business Owners (BYOB). This workshop focused on the youth between ages 10-17, teaching them how to break-down and start a business plan. We also focused on teaching the community financial literacy. In September we started our series of financial literacy workshops. These workshops focused on teaching money management, and what effects an individual’s credit.
