Event Details
It’s Star Wars Day: May the 4th from noon to 5 p.m. at the Museum of Discovery and Science!
Get ready for an interstellar adventure at MODS! Build a bot, train as a Padawan in our interactive Jedi workshop and engineer a starship to navigate challenges from a galaxy far, far away. Young Jedi (ages 0-6) can create Galactic Stars, launch ships into orbit and explore the magnetic mysteries of the universe. Discover the pull of gravity, the might of magnetism and the secrets of the cosmos in a day filled with starry adventures.
The force is strong with this one - may it guide you through an unforgettable day of discovery!
Plus, don’t miss the last few days of Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum: The Exhibit at MODS which follows kid adventurers Xavier Riddle, his little sister Yadina, and best friend Brad as they tackle everyday problems by doing something extraordinary: traveling back in time to learn from real-life inspirational figures when they were kids. The PBS KIDS® TV series, Xavier Riddle and The Secret Museum is based on the highly acclaimed children’s book series Ordinary People Change the World by #1 New York Times bestselling author and South Florida resident Brad Meltzer and award-winning letterer and illustrator Chris Eliopoulos. Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum: The Exhibit is a national traveling exhibit created by The Magic House, St. Louis Children’s Museum in collaboration with 9 Story Media Group, Inc. It is presented locally by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and Florida Prepaid College Savings Plans.
Experience South Florida’s award-winning attraction featuring 150,000 square feet of dynamic science exhibits, an outdoor science park, a live animal collection, a rotating schedule of science shows, learning labs, café, store and a grand atrium featuring the Great Gravity Clock, a 52-foot-tall kinetic energy sculpture; the largest clock in Florida. The showpiece of the museum since 1993, this unique timepiece is one of only three in the world.
Star Wars Day activities are included with Museum admission.
