A perfect holiday can be obtained by renting a cottage, or reserving a hotel. The Berkshire Beach Club is a beachfront resort with reasonably priced apartments. Other options can included Embassy Suites or Howard Johnsons. You can bring your own surfboard and fishing pole, or there are many vendors in the area who sell and rent them, as well as, other equipment for water sports. Participate in surfboard lessons, most are free with rentals or purchase. you can be riding the waves within an hour. There are boat rentals available for deep sea fishing. Try to catch "the big one" or bask in the bright Florida sunshine and enjoy the ride.
Deerfield Beach is host to several annual events such as the Mango Festival in June, and the Florida Renaissance Festival in February. The Mango Festival has live entertainment, arts and crafts, and local fare. The Florida Renaissance Festival takes you back in history to experience the magic, fun, and primitive life of Roman Legions, Medieval Maidens, and Peasantry.
