Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade
Cleverly named the "Greatest Show on H2O," this 12-mile parade is free to view from several locations in Ft. Lauderdale. However, arguably the best views are on the pier of Las Olas Riverfront. There are plenty of bars and restaurants with waterfront seating giving you a great vantage point to take in South Florida's most famous holiday parade. The boat parade is Saturday, December 15 from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Fort Lauderdale Christmas Pageant
You and your significant other can get your holiday shopping done early while enjoying a festival atmosphere. There will be holiday music, door prizes, pictures with Santa, an ugly sweater contest and, of course, unique vendors and crafts. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to buy gloves and hats for the less fortunate. Head to Artserve December 8 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. and get your shop on.
Rockapella, one of the country's most influential and enduring vocal groups corners the market of cool. And they'll bring that same edge to your favorite classic Christmas carols on December 22 at Broward Center for the Preforming Arts. Their show runs from starts at 8 p.m. and they'll regale you with bold, reimagined renditions of your holiday events. This is pretty much a pitch-perfect option for fun holiday dates in Ft. Christmas Eve Dinner at Burlock Coast
Christmas Eve dinner is typically a family affair, but at Burlock Coast, you could decide to make it a romantic one. From 6-10 p.m., Burlock Coast will serve a prime rib dinner and a bottle of champagne. Herb-roasted prime rib is served family style with truffle whipped potatoes, root vegetables and horseradish cream. An a la carte menu is also available. Reservations are required for this event and the price of the prime rib meal is $129 per couple.

If you can't make the Christmas Eve dinner, all is not lost. Open your presents, give your thanks, get dressed and head over to Burlock Coast for an all-you-can-eat feast. You'll eat, drink and be merry with a mouthwatering buffet and bottomless drinks. Adults are $129 and children 5-12 are $49.
South Floridians don't have a white Christmas. We have a green Christmas with warm sand beneath our feet. Hollywood Beach is celebrating the season and our tropical fortune with its 11th Christmas Near the Beach event. The event takes place on December 15, 2018, from 4-9 p.m. at the Arts Park at Young Circle in Hollywood. There will be bands, ballet, drama, vendors, a classic car show, and of course, St. Nick will be arriving in his red sports car. Oh, and if you're feeling photogenic, you and your significant other can take a free photo with Santa at his winter “beach house."
